If I were you, I'd want to be me,

With all my quirks and eccentricity.

I'd want to wear my heart on my sleeve,

And let my true self shine, wild and free.

I'd want to experience life through my eyes,

To see the world with wonder, and a sense of surprise.

I'd want to feel the depth of my emotions,

To love and laugh and cry with passionate devotion.

If I were you, I'd want to be me,

With all my strengths and weaknesses, I'd want to see.

I'd want to take my risks, and make my mistakes,

And learn from them, with a heart that doesn't fake.

I'd want to be my own unique melody,

A symphony of self, with harmony and discord, I'd want to be free.

I'd want to dance to the beat of my own drum,

And let my spirit soar, like a bird that's just begun.

If I were you, I'd want to be me,

A beautiful, messy, work of art, wild and carefree.

I'd want to be the best version of myself,

And shine my light, without apology, or someone else's wealth.
